Who is JC PHILLIPS?

JC grew up in Rock Falls, in Northwestern Illinois.  He got his start at WSDR-AM in Sterling his junior year at Rock Falls High school.  There, he found his love for the airwaves, from chasing tornados to spinning records.  From there, JC recieved his degree in broadcast in 2000 at North Central College in Naperville (Shap was his roomate.) JC earned an internship at Chicago’s Finest Rock, WXRT before landing in Peru with his first full-time radio gig, January of 2001… Mornings at a country station in Mendota, and afternoons on a rock station in Peru.  JC  joined WAJK in September of 2007, and is appreciative of the warm reception he recieved from you after getting the seat handed to him from the man whole sat there for 16 years,  John Spencer.

JC is married to a beautiful Spring Valley girl, Heidi… and has 3 kids… Jake turned 3 recently, and Abby and Ben are twins that will be 2 in April.

JC’S FAVORITES

Music: Queen, Soundgarden, umm… and lots of kids music… ’cause that’s all I get to listen to when I’m not at work…  Like Laurie Berkner and all the rest of the “Jack’s Big Music Show” artists.  However, Jake has really taken a liking to Rhianna.  Well, so has Dad… But, for other reasons.. heh heh.  “Dad! Dad! Don’t stop the music!!!” Food: Pizza — I can eat this everyday… what other food contains all 4 food groups? Activities: when I have time, I do play a little Xbox, mostly sports games, and racing (Jake likes to play those)… But, for the most part it’s running around with my kids.
