September 19, 2008When Eddie Vedder was in Chicago recently, he recorded this song he wrote (at the urging of Cubs great Ernie Banks) soon will be available on limited edition 45s, CD and download on PearlJam.com.
On a side note, this has got to annoy Shap a bit. He is the biggest Sox, and Pearl Jam fan I know. He was at the Eddie Vedder Auditorium show where this was recorded… and I doubt he participated in the sing-a-long. To bad Black Jack McDowell’s not still with the Sox (he’s too old anyway.) Eddie, Black Jack’s buddy, used to wear a Sox hat in the early 90′s… I’m referencing their first SNL appearance in 1992.
